Thanks!
I love the pictures you submitted, I’ll add them on queue and they should be posted soon.
California!
I don’t see any spelling mistakes and the words are in the right order in your sentences so i’d say you’re a good speaker!
Yeah I think using tumblr to learn a new language is a great idea because it gives you the chance to practice more which I think is the key to learning any language. I just happen to be a naturally shy person around people I don’t know well haha.
Most of the time I practice with my mom because she helps me with the proper pronunciation and I find that extremely helpful. Or I ask my friends on my personal tumblr.
Haha yeah English is my first language. I can understand some Spanish but speaking it is entirely different. I’m trying to practice Spanish so I can get better, but I hardly speak it on this blog because I have so many followers and I am shy about my spanish skills lol. So I try learning it on my own personal time.
My parents were born and raised in Mexico and I was born and raised in the U.S so I consider myself Latino, yes.
I usually identify as Chicana.
I accept almost all submissions unless they are in the wrong format. The most common mistake is that it’s submitted as a text post rather than a photo. It’s an easy mistake to make so I usually fix it myself and add in the credit. However sometimes if the picture is too large the picture wont open so I can’t save it. In that case I just delete it all together since I can’t really do anything about it. But other than that I’ll take anything I get! I like having my followers involved with sharing even if it’s just one photo :)
personally when I look for a pictures myself they have one of the following
- have people in it
- nature/animals
- modern buildings
- older traditional buildings
- have a variety of different cities.
- rural or indigenous areas
- something unique and different (animals, art or buildings or traditions.)
I usually try to get one picture that has fits a different criteria so that when I spam the country each picture is different from each other. But these aren’t very strict, sometimes it doesn’t fit perfectly into this list. But that is my general way of doing things!
Thank you! I looked through your blog and I love it! I encourage my followers to take a look at this blog if you want to see more pictures of latin america :)
